These
Guidelines are provided for undergraduate students who are applying
for an advanced graduation. |
| 2. |
According to NCTU
Study Regulations, undergraduate students conforming to the
following excellent performance requirements may apply for advancing
the graduation by one semester or one academic year.
| (1)

Students
must complete all required courses and conform to the
credit requirements of the department to which they have
enrolled. |
| (2) |
Students must
have an average conduct mark at 80 or higher for each
semester. |
| (3)
|
Students must
have a grade point average at 75 marks or higher during
the first six or seven semesters (the first four or five
semesters for transferred students, and a grade point
average at 75 marks or higher for other exempted courses). |
| (4)
|
Rankings must
be within the top 20% students in class. |
| (5)
|
Departments
may draw out their criteria of excellent performance. |
Transferred students
are not allowed to apply for an advanced graduation when they
are in year three. |
| 3. |
Students should
make an application for advanced graduation to the Registrar
after receiving the transcript in the end of semester.
After the preliminary review by the applicant’s department and
the secondary review by the Registrar, the application of eligible
candidates will be submitted to the Dean of Academic Affairs
and President for approval to confer the degree of bachelor
upon them. |

Year-three students
conforming to the requirements as stated in Sections 2-(2) to
2-(4) may apply for advanced graduation during the sixth semester.
After approving by the applicant’s department, the Registrar
will issue a certification of application to the applicant and
conduct the secondary review after the applicant has completed
all required courses and conformed the credit requirements of
the department to which they have enrolled. |

These Guidelines
and their revisions shall be drawn up by the Academic Affairs
Meeting and implemented after the approval of the President. |
