Chia Hoang Lee received the degree of mathematics in 1974 from National Taiwan University, and the MS and Ph.D. degree in computer science from University of Maryland in 1980 and 1983, respectively.
From 1994 to 1996, he was the chairman of the department of computer and information science at National Chiao Tung University. Currently, he serves as the director of Media Tek research center of NCTU. The aim of the center is to further the knowledge and technological advance in the arts of network, chip design, media and interface software.
He is presently working on man-machine interaction system, and intelligent system for grading chineseessays.
